    2019 Volleyball Season Preview

After last season’s success in Mission League play, in which we finished 3 place, we are looking forward to another bid for post season play. Making into the second round of the 2018 playoffs was our first trip to the post season in 6 years. With many varsity players returning from last year’s run, the outlook for next spring looks very hopeful. Returning for his 4 year at the starting varsity level is team captain, setter Joey Thompson (1st team Mission league honoree) and 2nd team honoree,  Coby Escalano. Also returning honorable mention middle blocker Brian Castro and starters Valentin Medina, Julian D’Alfonso all seniors and Junior Gus Maltzan. This core plus some very strong players from our JV program should put us in a promising place going into next spring. The combination of seasoned varsity and new upcoming underclassmen are keeping us excited and motivated to push beyond what we were able to accomplish last year.

Go Knights!
