St. Francis High School

Knights in the News (POSH) - 2/4/2013

Saturday, February 23, 2013

St. Francis High School is thrilled to announce that entertainer/singer/comedian Robert Hanley will be performing for St. Francis High School’s POSH 2013, which this year is themed “The Knight Club.” It is scheduled to take place at the Pasadena Convention Center on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

Similar to Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr., Robert fronts his own 17-piece orchestra. He sings the great songs of Bobby Darin, Paul Anka, Sinatra, Barry Manilow and some 50s & 60s rock ‘n’ roll, with light-hearted, current, clean comedy interspersed throughout the performance.

POSH (Preserving Our Scholastic Heritage) is a biennial event and one of St. Francis’ largest fundraisers. Proceeds from the event generally go towards both long-term and short-term strategic initiatives and projects, helping to ensure that future generations of Golden Knights will be able to benefit from an exemplary Catholic college preparatory education in the Capuchin Franciscan tradition.

The Knight Club promises to be a lively and entertaining evening, offering guests the opportunity to have a fabulous time, while also supporting the school’s goal of raising $300,000 from the Live and Silent Auctions, Paddle Raise, and Grand Raffle, to support both the Fr. Matthew Elshoff, OFM Cap. Endowed Scholarship as well as the school’s current financial aid program. The Pasadena Convention Center will be transformed into a hip and elegant cocktail lounge, where you can sip a signature Marti-ni (named after Fr. Tony Marti), enjoy entertainment by Robert Hanley and his 17-piece orchestra, bid on a wide variety of items in our Silent Auction, purchase Posh Pearls for a surprise gift, enjoy a gourmet seated dinner, and perhaps be high bidder on one of our truly spectacular Live Auction offerings! The organizers promise an unforgettable evening of merriment and camaraderie, and all members of the St. Francis family and surrounding community are welcome to participate in this wonderful event.
