SF STUMBLES IN OPENING LOSS TO ARCADIA
Last Friday the Golden Knights traveled to Arcadia to take on the Apaches. In what seemed to be another Golden Knight victory after the Knights scored on their third play from scrimmage, turned out to be a long night for the visiting St. Francis. The Knights received the opening kick-off and moved the ball easily on their first two plays to get to midfield.
2007 SEASON PREVIEW
The 2007 season should be an exciting one. Coach Bonds and his staff have several key returning players as well as a talented group of juniors coming up from last season's J.V. Mission League Championship team. Leading the way will be the four senior Golden Knights; returning starter Kevin Garcia (WR/DB), returning starter Austin Heyworth (QB), returning starter Kyle Morgan (RB/OLB), and returning starter Daniel Scheper (OL/DL). This year�s Golden Knights will provide excellent leadership, not only on the field, but in the classroom and in the community. Other key returning lettermen with varsity game experience include; senior returning starter Luc Laverdiere (ILB), senior returning starter Alex Reitnouer (OL/DE), sophomore returning starter Dietrich Riley (RB/WR/DB), senior returning starter Kevin Bessolo (TE/DE), senior Anthony Lombardo (LB/FB), junior Evan King (LB/RB), senior Sean McGuinness (WR/DB/K), junior Rian Younker (OL/DL), senior Joey Orlandini (DE), senior Pat Degnan (DB), senior Julian Bermejo (WR/DB) senior Chris Orme (OL/DL), senior Tommy Tartaglione (TE/DE), and senior Nathan Stark (RB/DB). Upcoming juniors who look to contribute on Friday nights include; Jeff Johnson (WR/DB), Luther Walker (WR/DB), Chris Sember (TE/LB), Matt Vidales (RB/LB), Erik Dowling (LB), Kris Durham (OL/DL), and Spencer Stephens (WR/DB).
