Every year, St. Francis High School holds a fundraising event. Both events bring current parents, parents of graduates, alumni and friends of St. Francis together to raise money for the school. In the odd years POSH is held, and in the even years, Mini-POSH.
POSH is held off campus so as to accommodate a large number of guests and the elaborate scope of the event. This is a formal affair with a sit-down dinner and a silent auction followed by a live auction. In addition, a Grand Raffle is held, and sponsorship opportunities are available to assist with underwriting the general expenses of the event.
Mini-POSH is typically held on campus, is a more informal affair, and includes a silent auction, casino tables, cocktails and dinner. As with POSH, a Grand Raffle is also held. Sponsorship opportunities are available to assist with underwriting the general expenses of the event.
Proceeds from the POSH/MiniPOSH events generally go towards both long-term and short-term strategic initiatives and projects.
Current-Parent Obligations: For POSH parents are asked to make a donation of $150 or contribute a new auction item of equal or greater value, in addition to selling one $100 book of raffle tickets. For MiniPOSH parents are asked to make a donation of $100 or contribute a new auction item of equal or greater value, in addition to selling one $100 book of raffle tickets.
Since 1988, the St. Francis Alumni Association has hosted the St. Francis Golf Classic as an opportunity for the entire St. Francis community to raise funds for current students. Held at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena, it is a great day of golf and camaraderie for alumni, parents, alumni parents and friends to reconnect in support of St. Francis High School.
Friars Circle Reception
The Friars Circle Reception is held each fall, and recognizes donors whose cash gifts to non-event based fundraising appeals from the prior fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) total $1,000 or more. Cash donations to event-based fundraisers (POSH, Golf Tournament) are recognized and celebrated throughout the corresponding event. We were delighted to have these dear friends of St. Francis High School join us for this special celebration of generosity each year.
