President - Fr. Tony Marti
Fr. Tony entered the Capuchin Franciscan Order as a postulant in 1989 and did his novitiate at the San Lorenzo Seminary in the Santa Ynez Valley. After completing his initial formation, he moved to St. Conrad friary in Berkeley to begin his theology studies until he was ordained on June 8, 1996. Subsequent to his ordination, Fr. Tony served as associate pastor at the St. Lawrence of Brindisi parish in Watts. Later he served as vocation director until he was elected provincial minister in 2002. After serving for six years as the provincial minister, he was appointed President of St. Francis High School in La Canada where he currently serves.
Fr. Tony is a widower and has a daughter. Fr. Tony’s daughter and son-in-law live in San Francisco with their son and daughter. Prior to joining the Capuchins, Fr. Tony was an international banker and Senior Vice President with First Interstate Bank in Los Angeles. Fr. Tony also served in the US Army as a medic in the 47th Medical Battalion at Fort Hood in Texas from 1966-1968.
